Seen in Search (“the service”) is a product of FactoryJet Private Limited, a company incorporated in India with its registered office at 70/1, Willow Herbs, Brookefield, Tigalarpalya, Kundalahalli, Bengaluru, Karnataka - 560037, India(“we”, “us”). “You” means the person using the service and, if you use it for a business, that business.

You accept these terms when you tick the box at sign-up, when you tick the box before a payment, or when you use the service. An agreement made online this way is a valid contract under Indian law (Information Technology Act, 2000, section 10A). If you accept for a business, you confirm you are allowed to bind it.

You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter a contract under the Indian Contract Act, 1872. The service is sold for business use.

These terms include our Privacy Policy, Cancellation & Refund Policy, Shipping & Delivery Policy and Cookie Policy. A signed order form or written agreement with us, if you have one, applies first where it differs.

Seen in Search puts a set of buyer questions to AI answer engines — currently ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews and Perplexity — records how they describe a business, and turns the results into a report, a score and a list of suggested fixes. We publish how the score is worked out on the methodology page.

Some plans include features that prepare changes for your website, and some features can apply those changes through a connection you set up (for example our WordPress plugin). These features are being rolled out and may not be available on your plan or platform yet. We only describe on the pricing page what a plan includes today.

A report is an observation, not a guarantee. Each report shows what named third-party AI tools said, in answer to named questions, on a stated date. AI tools give different answers at different times, and the same scan run tomorrow can give a different result.

• AI output can be wrong. Answers quoted in a report, and suggestions our own AI helpers write, may be inaccurate, incomplete or out of date. We do not check every statement, and quoting an answer does not mean we agree with it.
• No promised results. We do not promise any ranking, visibility, mention, citation, traffic, lead, sale or other outcome in any search engine or AI tool. Those tools are run by other companies, who can change them at any time.
• Not professional advice. Nothing in the service is legal, financial, tax or other professional advice. Check anything important before you act on it.

You are responsible for the decisions you take based on a report.

You need a work email address. We do not accept personal or disposable addresses, because the service is sold to businesses. Keep your sign-in details private. You are responsible for what happens under your account, including by people you invite to your workspace. Tell us at once at [email protected] if you think someone else has used it.

You do not need to own a domain to scan it. Agencies scan client domains and analysts scan competitors. Scanning a domain gives you no rights over it and does not mean you represent it.

You agree not to:

• break any law, or use the service to mislead, defame, harass or harm any person or business;
• scrape, copy, resell or automate the service beyond the API and limits your plan gives you;
• get around scan limits, rate limits, the anti-bot check or any security control;
• try to reach systems, data or accounts that are not yours, or test our security without permission;
• upload malware, or anything you do not have the right to share;
• connect a website, account or platform you are not authorised to change;
• present a report as something we endorsed, or edit it and present it as ours;
• use the service to build a competing product.

Where you connect a website or platform so that the service can prepare or apply changes (for example page text, meta tags, schema, robots.txt or llms.txt):

• You are in control. You choose what to connect, and you can disconnect it at any time. Where a feature asks you to review or approve a change, approving it is your decision.
• Keep your own backups. Before you connect a site or approve a change, make sure you have a current backup you can restore. We keep a record of changes we make and may offer a way to undo them, but we cannot promise that an undo will always be possible — your hosting, theme, plugins or other people may change the same thing.
• Your site, your responsibility. You are responsible for your website, its content, its compliance with the law, and for checking that approved changes work as you expect.
• Access you give us. You give us permission to use the credentials or connections you set up, only to provide the service. We store credentials encrypted.

The service depends on other companies, including AI providers (such as OpenAI, Google and Anthropic, whose tools we observe, and the AI providers we use to read results), data providers (such as DataForSEO), payment providers (such as Razorpay), hosting and email providers. Our Privacy Policy lists them.

We are not responsible for those companies’ services, content or changes. If one of them changes or stops a service we rely on, we may have to change or remove a feature. If you connect a third-party platform (for example WordPress, Google Search Console or a sign-in provider), your use of it is also under that company’s terms.

Every account can start with a free report and no card. Paid plans are subscriptions: you choose a plan on the pricing page and it renews automatically, monthly or yearly, until you cancel. An annual plan is billed for 10 months and covers 12.

There is no free trial of a paid plan. The free report is the only free part of the service. A paid plan is charged from the day you choose it.

Before any payment starts, you must tick a boxagreeing to these terms, our Privacy Policy and our Cancellation & Refund Policy, and authorising recurring charges until you cancel. We keep a record of that agreement.

• Currency. Prices are shown on the pricing page and at checkout in the currency you will be charged in. If that is not your own currency, your bank may add conversion fees.
• Taxes. GST and other taxes are charged where the law requires. The checkout and your invoice show the tax. For buyers in India, the invoice is issued by FactoryJet Private Limited.
• Who takes the payment. All payments, from buyers in India and elsewhere, are taken through Razorpay. We never see or store your full card details.
• Recurring charges. For subscriptions you authorise us, through the payment provider, to charge your card or payment method at each renewal until you cancel. Under the Reserve Bank of India rules, your bank may send you a notice before each recurring charge, and you can cancel the mandate at any time — in your UPI app for UPI AutoPay, or with your bank or card issuer. Cancelling the mandate does not by itself cancel your plan — please also cancel it with us.
• Failed payments. If a renewal fails, we keep your plan running for three days while the payment is retried. After that, paid features may stop until payment succeeds.
• Price changes. What you are entitled to is recorded on your account when you buy. A later price change applies to new subscriptions. If a change would affect your existing plan, we will tell you before it applies, and you can cancel before then.

Payments are non-refundable. You can cancel at any time; we stop charging you from the next billing cycle, and you keep access until the end of the period you have already paid for. The details, and the exceptions (such as a duplicate charge or a charge made in error), are in our Cancellation & Refund Policy, which is part of these terms. Nothing in these terms takes away a refund you are entitled to by law.

To cancel, press “Cancel subscription” on the Billing page, or email [email protected]. Cancelling is as quick as subscribing: no reason, notice period, fee or phone call is needed.

Yours. You keep all rights in the content and data you give us, including your website content. You give us a limited licence to use it only to run, secure and improve the service for you. We do not use your private reports to train AI models, and we do not sell your data.

Reports. You may use, share and publish your own reports. A report you paid for is private until you publish it; free and partner reports can be read by anyone with the link — see who can read a report.

Ours. We (or our licensors) own the software, the scoring method, the design, the Seen in Search name and logo, and the site. You may not copy, change or reverse-engineer them except as the law allows. If you send us feedback, we may use it without owing you anything.

Aggregated data. We may use anonymous, aggregated statistics that do not identify you or your business to run and improve the service.

Each of us will keep the other’s non-public information confidential, use it only for this agreement, and share it only with people who need it and are bound to keep it confidential. This does not cover information that is public, that the other party already had, or that must be disclosed by law — in which case, where allowed, the party disclosing will tell the other first.

We work to keep the service running, but we do not promise it will always be available, error-free or uninterrupted, and we offer no uptime commitment unless we sign one with you in writing. We may change, add or remove features. If we remove something you are paying for and rely on, we will tell you in advance where we reasonably can.

To the fullest extent the law allows, the service, reports and all AI output are provided “as is” and “as available”, without any warranty — including any warranty of accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose, merchantability or non-infringement. This does not remove any right you have that the law says cannot be removed.

To the fullest extent the law allows:

• Neither of us is liable for indirect, special or consequential loss, or for loss of profit, revenue, business, goodwill, rankings, traffic or data, however caused.
• Our total liability for all claims about the service is limited to the fees you paid us for the service in the 12 months before the event that caused the claim (or, if you have paid nothing, INR 8,000 or USD 100, whichever matches your billing currency).
• We are not liable for loss caused by AI tools or other companies’ services, by changes you approved on your website, or by your failure to keep backups or keep your account secure.

These limits do not apply to liability that cannot be limited under Indian law — for example for fraud, for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for your rights under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 or the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 that cannot be waived.

You will cover us (and our directors and staff) for losses, damages and reasonable legal costs from a claim by someone else that arises from your content, your website, your breach of these terms, your misuse of the service, or your breaking the law or someone else’s rights. We will tell you promptly about such a claim and let you take part in handling it.

You can stop using the service at any time, cancel your plan as described in the Cancellation & Refund Policy, and delete your account from Your data.

We may suspend or close an account if you seriously or repeatedly break these terms, if you do not pay, if the law requires it, or to protect the service or other users. Where it is reasonable, we will warn you first and tell you why. If we close your account without cause, we will refund the unused part of any prepaid period.

When the agreement ends, your access stops. Sections that by their nature should continue — such as payment owed, content ownership, confidentiality, disclaimers, limits of liability, indemnity and disputes — continue.

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the current version. If a change is important, we will tell you by email or in the app before it takes effect, and you will be asked to accept the new terms before your next purchase. If you do not agree, you can cancel before the change applies.

Neither of us is responsible for a delay or failure caused by events beyond reasonable control, such as natural disasters, epidemics, war, government action, power or internet failures, or outages at AI, cloud or payment providers. This does not excuse paying for service already received.

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Please contact us first — most problems can be solved by email. If a dispute is not solved within 30 days of one party writing to the other, it will be referred to arbitration under the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996, by a sole arbitrator appointed by agreement of both parties. The seat and venue of arbitration is Bengaluru, Karnataka, India, and the language is English.

Subject to that, the courts at Bengaluru, Karnataka, India have exclusive jurisdiction, including for urgent interim relief. Nothing here stops a consumer from using a forum they are entitled to use under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019.

• Whole agreement. These terms (with the policies they link to, and any signed order form) are the whole agreement between us about the service.
• Severability. If a court finds part of these terms invalid, the rest still applies, and the invalid part is applied as closely as the law allows.
• No waiver. If we do not enforce a right straight away, we can still enforce it later.
• Transfer. You may not transfer this agreement without our written consent. We may transfer it to a company that takes over our business, and will tell you if we do.
• Notices. We send notices to the email on your account. You send notices to [email protected] or by post to our registered office.
• Independent parties. Nothing here creates a partnership, agency or employment between us.
